In my opinion, everyone who wants to accommodate Islam in Europe is a fascist, or at least a sympathiser of fascism. But in their opinion, anyone who DOESN'T love Islam is a fascist. It's a difficult age; almost anyone can get accused of fascism, but many people who claim to be against fascism tend to have their own, hidden fascistic agendas themselves.

Basically, one has to choose between left-wing fascism, right-wing fascism and islamofascism. Nice fucking job, Europe.

Disregarding your warning against making suggestions, I do have to point out how funny I thought it was when Christopher Hitchens called Mel Gibson a fascist in God is not Great.

Aug. 1, 2009 | 5:58 AM ZeroAsALimit responds:

Well, Fascism is a specific term really. It doesn't really fit in the whole left-right spectrum either. As far as the Muslim issue, I feel compelled to point out that Muslims were hard-core Fascists in Italy. Often they were not allowed to become military commanders due to a worry that they would kill people based upon their political views - not something Mussolini entirely approved of, in fact, you could print things against the state and it's leaders under him.

I don't welcome Muslims into Europe. Although I KNOW a few Muslims and I like them, this is not their home.

I will take that suggestion on to the list, because it is entirely sourced.

Accused of Fascism by their manager. He changed his mind at a later point, but the accusation was leveled.

Aug. 1, 2009 | 6:02 AM ZeroAsALimit responds:

During the Thin White Duke era, he did say that Britain is ready from and would benefit from a Fascist leader. In addition, he claimed that Adolf Hitler was a fantastic showman and there is the whole "salute thing".

Of course, we both know it was a wave and we both know Bowie's views, but it was a widely held belief that he was one and at the time, it was frequently claimed so by the press.
